i'm tori campbell. >> i'm dave clark. it's wednesday, october 3rd. >>> well, the overnight news for you this morning, fire investigators are still at the seen of an early-morning house fire in berkeley. this one started about midnight on benavue avenue. claudine wong has been there since 4:30 this morning. claudine, you've been talking to investigators, neighbors. what do you know now? >> reporter: since we last checked in, a couple of things have happened. we -- firefighters were able to get in here and start to stabilize the house. we talked about the partial roof collapse that made -- ma made the firefighterring difficult. what they -- firefighting difficult. what they have to do is make sure it's completely stable before they spend time in -- inside. this fire was not easy. i want to show you where we are. we are in the parking lot of a building that was adjacent to it. this is where a -- neighbors said they woke up to this fire, about a block away. and they -- this picture was taken by a neighbor who saw the flames.
